July 4th Fireworks Cancelled

Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, the City of Greenville Council Members, Washington County Board of Supervisors, and Main Street Greenville have collectively agreed to cancel this year’s 4th of July fireworks celebration downtown. The three organizations considered alternatives that would allow us to safely proceed during this time, but ultimately, we agreed that the health and wellness of our citizens should remain the top priority despite the popularity of the fireworks show.

Main Street Greenville Director, Gretchen Giachelli, said, “We know how much the community enjoys this event, so instead of focusing on canceling this year, we consider it a jump start on planning for next year!”
