2021's Festival
First up is Thursday night's Welcome Dinner!
Dine in style under the stars at our exclusive dinner party prepared by some of the South's finest chefs. Dave Crews and friends will prepare a meal you won't soon forget. Join us at the Courtyard of Hotel 27, beginning at 6 pm for cocktails, dinner, and a dance party. Cocktails 6 pm Dinner Served at 7:30 pm Street Band Dance Party at 9 pm |
We have updated the beloved Panel Discussions and renamed them Artisan Expressions!
Three individual sessions explore the discoveries and works of some of the South's most spectacular stories.
Speakers include:
Victor Pinion, Mississippi River Treasure Hunter: Victor has been recovering fossils from the last ice age on the banks of the Mississippi River for nearly 10 years. Learn the fascinating history of his collection in our 2:00 session.
Valerie Fraser Luesse, author and Southern Living Magazine's Senior Travel Editor:
Bestselling, Christy Award–winning novelist and magazine writer, Valerie Fraser Luesse takes the spotlight in the 3:00 hour. Luesse is the author of Under the Bayou Moon, Almost Home, and the bestselling, Christy Award–winning Missing Isaac. Her third novel, The Key to Everything, was inspired by a true story. An award-winning magazine writer, Luesse is best known for her features and essays in Southern Living, where she is the Senior Travel Editor. Don't miss this gem of a session.

You are NOT going to want to miss our 4:00 session dedicated to a vibrant and hilarious Mississippi-made mead maker! Learn how Jeri Carter went from school teacher to award winning wine maker, and yes, of course we are going to sample the goods!

SATURDAY IS FESTIVAL DAY!!! Check out our amazing line-up for Saturday which includes Flavors of the Festival, a time-honored staple of the festival. Experience the best of the Delta Hot Tamale Festival! Don't wait in a long line for a dozen of one type of Tamale! Join us at Flavors of the Festival for a one of a kind dining experience to taste eight delicious tamales from our vendors expertly paired with 4 craft beers.
This event will be hosted in the Courtyard of Hotel 27. It is a come-and -go event this year, and will not have specified seating times. Your ticket is good for admittance ANY TIME between 11 am and 1:30 pm. Event concludes at 2 pm. |
