About Our Organization

Main Street Greenville is a subsidiary of The Greater Greenville Development Foundation, Inc. which was developed exclusively for charitable, educational, scientific, and literary purposes. The purpose of the organization is to promote events and issues which are relevant to the quality of life for the residents of Greenville, Washington County, the Mississippi Delta and the State of Mississippi, including but not limited to, economic planning and development, education, housing and cultural development. 

As a Main Street America™ Accredited program, Main Street Greenville is a recognized leading program among the national network of more than 1,200 neighborhoods and communities who share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. All Main Street America™ Accredited programs meet a set of National Accreditation Standards of Performance as outlined by Main Street America. Main Street Greenville is a Designated program of the Mississippi Main Street Association.
